Christian Pennotti

Christian Pennotti is currently an Analyst at The QED Group working on the Accelerated Microenterprise Development Advancement Project. In this role, he works closely with the USAID Microenterprise Development office, has helped develop the USAID Rural & Agricultural Finance Training Program and is one of the primary editors and strategists for microLINKS.org, a website designed to facilitate information sharing and learning among the microenterprise development community worldwide. Prior to joining QED, Mr. Pennotti worked with the executive office at Ashoka tracking growth of the social sector. He has also worked with the International Research & Exchanges Board on technology access programs and the George Washington University Center for the Study of Globalization. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in Uzbekistan where he founded an English resource center (now sustained by local community members), established a local branch of the national English teacher’s association (UzTEA), and worked with a farmer’s association to prepare members for internships on US farms. Mr. Pennotti holds an MA in International Development Studies from George Washington University and a BA in English from Boston College.He speaks advanced Uzbek and functional Spanish.
