Guilherme (Gui) Larangeira

Gui joined TDF in 2001, after completing his MBA at the University of Michigan Business School. At Michigan, he was part of the student team that managed the school’s Wolverine Venture Fund. Prior to that, Gui was an analyst at Arthur D. Little, a global
management-consulting firm, in their Telecom, IT, Media and Entertainment (TIME) practice. He worked on the privatization of
Brazil’s telecommunications system, among other projects.

He was also a project manager in Ericsson’s Sao Paulo office, where he helped design and implement digital cellular networks for Telefonica, a multinational wireless carrier.

Gui has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, with an emphasis in
telecommunications. While at UFRGS, he co-authored and presented a paper at the 1995 IEEE International Microwave and Optical
Communications Symposium.

TDF was established in 1996 to help entrepreneurs with access to capital and consists of two organizations. TDF has a venture capital fund focused on making direct investments in promising entrepreneurs and companies focused on the communications
sector. TDF has a separate non-profit organization that reaches out to potential and aspiring entrepreneurs and provides education and training in preparation for raising institutional capital for their company.
